Reading the Synchronization Status via File System

Starting from client version 10.0 Windows users (starting from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1) can read the synchronization status of their files directly via Windows Explorer.

Starting from client version 10.1 the synchronization status icons are also available on macOS.

Synchronization Status Icons

There are four different icons:

  1. Synchronized file (check mark).
  2. Synchronizing file (two arrows arranged in a circle).
  3. Document is in use (lock symbol).
  4. Ignored file (circle with bar).

Once the synchronization changes, the icons will be automatically adapted as well.

If there are other programs installed that use icon overlays, it can occur that the icons of the FAUbox are not displayed correctly. Uninstall those other programs, if possible, to solve the problem.
