Installing on Linux

This guide describes how to install FAUbox Client on Linux based operating systems.

1a. Repository for Debian

For Debian we offer a repository, where you can find the newest FAUbox client:

To add our PPA on Homespun to your sources list, you should do the following:
sudo apt-key adv –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-keys D07F25B4253A0D89

for 16.04:
echo „deb [arch=amd64] http://homespun.rrze.uni-erlangen.de/ubuntu xenial main“ | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rrze-homespun.list

for 18.04:
echo „deb [arch=amd64] http://homespun.rrze.uni-erlangen.de/ubuntu bionic main“ | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rrze-homespun.list

then:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install faubox

You find the newest version on the server:
