Starting minimized

The client offers the possibility to start minimized to the task bar.

Starting minimized in Windows

To start the client minimized using Windows:

  1. Install the FAUbox application.
  2. Right click the FAUbox shortcut, and click on Properties:
  3. Simply add “-m” in the text field next to Target. For example:
    “C:\Program Files (x86)\PowerFolder\FAUbox\FAUbox.exe” -m
  4. Save the changes by clicking on OK.
  5. FAUbox will now start minimized with every new Windows session.

Starting minimized in Mac

To start the client minimized using Mac OS:

  1. Click on the Apple logo.
  2. Click on System Preferences…
  3. Click on Users & Groups
  4. Select the correct profile from the left pane.
  5. Click on Login Items.
  6. Check the Hide checkbox next to the FAUbox application.
  7. FAUbox will now start minimized with every new  session.

Starting minimized in Linux

To start the client minimized using Linux follow these steps:

  1. Start the FAUbox-client.
  2. Open the Terminal.
  3. Type in the following command line and press Return:
    “ps -ef |grep -i java”
  4. Copy the following text section:

  5.  Post the copied text section into the terminal. At the end of the command line, press space and add ” -m” :

  6. Press Return/Enter.
  7. If you add the “&” symbol at the end of the command line (with space before it), the terminal will execute the process in the background.
