Setting up a ‘Function’-FAUbox

RRZE contact persons can order ‘Funktions’-FAUboxes for their facility. These are FAUbox accounts that belong to the facility and not to persons. The head of the facility is responible. A ‘Funktions’-FAUbox can only be used via base folder(s) and an optional associated group. The user password is not required. Admin for the folder(s) and group is an internal FAUbox user determined by the RRZE contact person (a user with quota). This person can manage the content and members of the folder(s) as well as invite external persons to the folder. All data in a ‘Funktions’-FAUbox is independent of any person. There will not be deleted anything, when an admin leaves the facility. Data will be deleted only, when the ‘Funktions’-FAUbox is canceled. The costs for 50 GB are 50,- € per year. The backup is included in the price.

RRZE contact persons can find an online form to order a Funktions-FAUbox in the IdM portal.

FAU external customers, who have no contact person for their facility should contact their local computing centre for help or get an own customer number and RRZE contact person account by sending a request to rrze-faktura-support@fau.de.
